The annual coarse close season which begins on Thursday 15th of March in the UK, is almost upon us. So we thought we should share 8 great locations to beat the close season blues.

The Seychelles are located off the East coast of Africa, in the Indian Ocean. The country is composed of over one hundred islands. Its fabulous white sand beaches and crystal clear waters has made a popular place for fishing tourists. If you are into fly fishing go to Alphonse Island. There are over sixty species but the most notable amongst anglers are: Bonefish, Giant Trevally and Milk. If you are going with your family, the island offers plenty of alternatives if they don’t want to go fishing - such as snorkelling, ocean walks and wind surfing.

Venezuela offers some of the best Bone fishing and Tarpon fishing in the world. Los Roques, is just situated 90 miles offshore Venezuela, it is an archipelago formed of 350 islands and cays, which have some of the finest salt water fishing in the world. The islands are a highly preserved national park frequented by locals and holidaymakers. You can expect to find Bonefish, Tarpon, Jacks and even Barracudas.
