Strong, Thin Carbon Composite Blank

Penn remade their carbon composite blanks for the Rampage II series. This newer 24-Ton carbon blank construction has a thin diameter, which makes the rod lighter overall. That said, it’s still more than enough to handle tough fish and thick braid lines.

Shaped for Boat Fishing

The long tip, short butt construction is great for bait fishing, especially with the range required from boats. Because you’ll often be fighting bigger fish from the boat, you’ll appreciate how it stiffens to offer extra power against hard pulls.

Robust EVA Handle

The high density EVA handle is sensitive, but hard and super strong. EVA foam is probably the most durable material used for rod handles. It’s especially resistant against common residue from baits, like fish oil and protein.

Fuji O Guides

Since this rod is made for braid, Penn opted for the best line guides they could get. Fuji created the ‘O’ line in 2014. These rings are made from aluminium oxide with a deep pressed frame design that’s thinner, wider and more secure.

High Quality Finishing Touches

Penn uses an aluminium reel seat for the Rampage II, which is strong, lightweight and corrosion-resistant, which are all important for boat fishing. The rubber push-on butt cap gives you the option to quickly rebalance your rod if it’s too light at the back. It’s all delivered in a Cordura rod tube.
