Shimano Stradic Ci4+ 1000FB Fixed Spool Reel
Description
The popular Shimano Stradic Ci4+ has been completely
redesigned to enhance its already high performance and low weight. This reel is
part of Shimano’s Hagane design concept, which aims to make reels smooth and
durable, thanks to the company’s unique metalworking technology.
Strength & Durability
The Stradic Ci4+ 1000 is small and light for better control,
but still amazingly strong, despite weighing only 160 grams. The durable Hagane
gear in the Shimano Stradic Ci4+ provides excellent efficiency and strength. CoreProtect
uses 12 different seals and a flat body joint along with surface treatment on
the body and drag area to provide excellent water resistance without creating a
heavy rotation feeling.
Effortless Cranking
X-Ship reels like the Stradic Ci4+ have a double
bearing-supported pinion gear. This offers extra torque, since the 2 shielded
A-RB ball bearings eliminate gear twist and rotor flex when fighting a fish. The
screw-in handle also minimises the play and loss of energy, because it's in
direct contact with the gears. The reel also sits closer to the rod, because
the G-Free body allows the worm shaft oscillation to sit higher up the reel.
This is yet another feature which helps reduce fatigue and ease casting
comfort.
Precise Control
The Stradic line is famous for its smooth drag, thanks in
part to the MGL (Magnumlite) rotor. The waterproof front drag on this model has
a fine, controlled adjustment. The AR-C line management system causes the line
to leave the spool with less friction and in smaller coils, reducing common
line problems like backlash.
