Description
The three models in the range - the Flyweight, the Featherweight and the LRH Lightweight - have been used by discerning anglers for over half a century. Their appeal is simple. the simplicity of their looks. The simplicity of their design. their durability and reliability. Classic reels that perform whenever you need them. And with Hardy's new sensational range of Lightweight rods to accompany them, these reels become even more attractive.
I recently received my new LRH Lightweight and am delighted with the purchase. The Last fly reel. It doesn't look like the wheels that keep spinning after the SUV stops. Finish and manufacturing tolerances are very good. Function is smooth as butter. I like the feel of the delrin handle. Probably used to looking at worn reels, but there is something about the paint on the markings that looks over-applied. And of course, it doesn't say Made in England. Nostalgia aside, this a jewel of a reel at a great price, and I'm very happy to see Hardy continue to offer it.
I purchased the Hardy Featherweight to go on my new Orvis Superfine 1 weight rod. This has got to be the best matchup of a rod and reel I have ever seen! I had heard of Hardy of course but the quality and function of these reels was astounding to me. My hat is off to Harris Sportsmail for excellent custormer service and great pricing. I will be in the Smoky Mountains at the end of May putting the little Hardy to the test on the native brook trout once again. Thanks for providing me the tools for a real defining moment in my ultralight fly fishing!
Shipping was about a week and a half to the eastern US, great Hardy product although not made in Alnwick. :( Great price, Great shipping (just in time for my vacation!) and great product. What's not to love?
This replaces a featherweight that was lost while fishing earlier this spring. Although not quite the same quality. It is much better that what is available in both the UK and the Us at this price Thanks HarrisSportsmail.
